Job Summary

The Senior Executive – Purchase will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure the acquisition of goods and services in alignment with company objectives. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the purchasing process to achieve cost savings and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Conduct regular reviews and audits of supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management:
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
    • Manage and oversee contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as required.
    • Resolve any issues or disputes related to contracts and procurement activities.
  • Purchasing Operations:
    • Oversee the purchasing process, including requisition, order placement, and delivery.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and maintain appropriate documentation.
    • Monitor inventory levels and manage reorder points to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal departments, such as finance, production, and logistics, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational needs.
    • Provide support and guidance to junior procurement staff and other team members as required.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance to senior management.
    • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements in procurement processes.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks and implement risk management strategies.
